Increasing the Output (OP) causes the Process Variable (PV) to rise
P, I, and D represent the contributions of the Proportional, Integral, and Derivative
P, I, and D are summed and added to the last Output on each scan (update cycle)
P, I, and D act on the Error
Each dot on the trend represents a process sample value
The left side of the trend shows older samples, while the right side reflects the most recent
The D is calculated from the most recent 3 samples (right 3 dots)
For each of the 10 scenarios, decide whether P, I, and D will attempt to increase (+), decrease (−), or have no effect (0) on the Output. The following are the options to choose from:
  0   No effect on the Output
  +   Adds to the OP (Increases)
  −   Subtracts from the OP (Decreases)
