Increasing the Output (OP) causes the Process Variable (PV) to rise.
ΔP, ΔI, and ΔD represent the contributions of the Proportional, Integral, and Derivative
ΔP, ΔI, and ΔD are summed and added to the overall OP on each scan (update cycle).
ΔP, ΔI, and ΔD act on the Error
Each dot on the trend represents a process sample value.
The left side of the trend shows older samples, while the right side reflects the most recent.
The derivative term uses the most recent 3 samples (right 3 dots).
For each of the 10 scenarios, decide whether ΔP, ΔI, and ΔD will attempt to increase (+), decrease (−), or have no effect (0) on the Output. The following are the options to choose from:
  0   No effect on the Output
  +   Adds to the OP (Increases)
  −   Subtracts from the OP (Decreases)
